Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! My prayer with a homeless woman named Shenika was punctuated by 'Please pray with me too.' Amanda pleaded 'Please help me. I should stay clean but meth devours me.' 1 Pet 5:8 pierced my heart. Amanda shared 'I was raised Lutheran but I want to read the Qur'an. I think they're both God. I'm just not sure whether Zeus is God.' Pregnant pause. I shared Truth and Love but alas, Amanda desired 'Crank' more than Christ. She escaped her mandated drug treatment program to taste proverbial forbidden fruit. Although we have communicated throughout the morning, Amanda wants to reduce the consequences from sin rather than to repent from it. Please pray.
Gen 3:1-6 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, 'Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?' The woman said to the serpent, 'We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' 'You will not certainly die,' the serpent said to the woman. 'For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.' When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We read Prov 3 despite clear demonic distraction. 1 Sam 19:9-10 pierced my heart. Adam argued that Satan is mute and thus inert within our lives. We devoured Gen 3 [The Fall] to expose the crafty serpent's deception. We exalted God's Word – our ultimate litmus test to discern 'the lips of the adulterous woman' from 'a still small voice.' Be a Berean. In Christ, Jason.
1 Pet 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Rev 12:7-9 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down __ that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Prov 5:3-5 For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.
1 Ki 19:12 [NKJV] And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
