Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! During our worship at the clinic we sang 'There's no shadow You won't light up, mountain You won't climb up, coming after me. There's no wall You won't kick down, lie You won't tear down, coming after me.' [Reckless Love by Cory Asbury] Upon arrival at MOA, I prayed to be led to my Divine Encounter then opened my eyes to find the gentleman who threatened me last week. Same face; same olive drab uniform; same bench. I prayed to 'better hear' the Holy Spirit's voice but God audibly commanded 'Pray with my child.' I tried to negotiate with God – laughable in retrospect. I ultimately approached 'Hi. My name is Jason. You appeared really mad last week but I would love to pray with you tonight.' He replied 'I'm okay but we've never met.' We laughed about my confusion then Ray shared agnostic beliefs, homelessness and methamphetamine addiction. I shared the full Gospel Message then my personal testimony. I queried 'If you die tonight – Heaven or hell?' Pregnant pause. 'I haven't thought about it. I feel like I will live forever.' I shared Joseph's picture – a homeless friend's eight year old grandson diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. [Please pray.] Ray wept 'My baby was three when she died last year.' I declared 'Satan lied that you would harm me but Jesus Christ pursues you. Satan comes only to steal and kill and destroy but God sent me to keep you out of hell!' BOOM! The Holy Spirit blanketed us with Love. My brother collapsed in my arms then cried out in surrender to Jesus Christ.
Jn 10:9-10 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We traversed The Valley of Dry Bones led by the Holy Spirit. We encountered a young heroin addict named Greg who admired Jesus' morality. I shared the full Gospel Message emphasizing Jesus' Deity then divulged my personal testimony. Greg screamed 'Where's Jesus when I put a spike into my vein?' We devoured the poem Footprints in the Sand [by Mary Stevenson] then shared the Jesus Christ / life raft analogy. I asked 'What would prevent you from surrendering your life to Jesus Christ right now?' Pregnant pause. Greg whispered 'My pride. I want to believe but I don't see Jesus' hand.' I prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit then recounted Tyler's pilgrimage:
To my left sat Mackenzie – our third recent heroin-related funeral. To my right sat Tyler who exclaimed 'You're the pizza guy!' I was confused. 'Remember when Paige and I were homeless – you washed our clothes and let us shower. You bought pizza while we talked about Jesus.' Tyler sobbed 'I have been clean fourteen months. That was the moment.'
Greg appeared faint but whispered 'I know Tyler D_____.' I declared 'Tyler surrendered to Jesus Christ one month ago while parked in my car. Paige's death was horrible 'but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.' Jesus Christ stands before you but you're blinded by smack.' BOOM! The Holy Spirit reigned down upon us. Greg dropped to the ground in surrender to Christ Jesus. In Christ, Jason.
Ezek 37:1-5 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'Sovereign Lord, you alone know.' Then he said to me, 'Prophesy to these bones and say to them, Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.'
Gen 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
