Dear Messengers:

Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome!  During our worship and prayer at the clinic we 'offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save' our Prodigal Sons.  Dave and I prayed that although Josh and Adam respectively reject their father's words that we may encounter prodigal strangers receptive to hear Truth and Love.  Through tears, we prayed that alternate Messengers would encounter our sons with 'the one who could save [them] from death.'  At MOA, I encountered a homeless gentleman named Russ who wept 'I know God rejects me because my stepfather rejects me.  God hates me too.'  Our tears streamed.  I shared my personal testimony then confronted psychological projection [our earthly father's attributes upon our Heavenly Father].  We explored the full Gospel Message, emphasizing Jesus' Love then depicted the Jesus Christ / life raft analogy.  I prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit then declared 'Jesus Christ stands before you but you feel unworthy to be loved.'  BOOM!  The Holy Spirit reigned down upon us.  Russ declared 'Samuel heard God's voice' then wept violently.  But alas, my brother remained adrift.  Ps 69:1-3 pierced my heart.  Please pray.

Heb 5:7 During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

1 Sam 3:7-10 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.  A third time the Lord called, 'Samuel!'  And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, 'Here I am; you called me.'  Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy.  So Eli told Samuel, 'Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.'  So Samuel went and lay down in his place.  The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, 'Samuel!  Samuel!'  Then Samuel said, 'Speak, for your servant is listening.'

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  We encountered a pleasant gentleman named James who shared 'You asked about my walk with Christ.  I'm not on that walk.  I'm backsliding.'  I shared the full Gospel Message then we explored absolute repentance.  I asked James 'What would prevent you from surrendering your life to Jesus Christ right now?'  He shouted 'Me'.  We read 'Others of us are bound by guilt.  We keep beating ourselves up over some past failure.  We're trapped, stuck fast in self-reproach and shame.  We reason that no one else anywhere could be as bad as we are, that no one could love the real us or forgive us for the terrible things we've done.  But we're wrong: For starters, God can.'  [Excerpt from Tecarta Bible DOTD 09/19/18]  I divulged the extreme sorrow I felt three days prior pursuant to my perceived failures.  But surrounded by two dozen TCLI students, a young man named Jackson prayed then Christ Jesus restored my heart.  I stared into James' eyes then repeated 'What would prevent you from surrendering your life to Jesus Christ right now?'  BOOM!  The Holy Spirit enveloped us with Love.  James 'slid back' to the ground then Christ Jesus restored.  In Christ, Jason.

1 Pet 5:8-11 Be alert and of sober mind.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.  And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  To him be the power for ever and ever.  Amen.

Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.

Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
