Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! I encountered Doug, an astute gentleman blessed with an orthopedic boot. Doug is a Believer [who mentioned God even before I] but confessed to have 'followed the ways of this world' too often. Me too. He renounced alcohol a decade prior. Me too. I shared my personal testimony then presented the Jesus Christ / life raft analogy; Doug shared a chronic ankle impairment. We both observed God's Presence during our adversity – thus my 'blessed with an orthopedic boot' statement. Although Doug abandoned Church several years ago, my brother asked to attend Church with my family this Sunday. 'It is by grace you have been saved.'
I initially encountered Erika last Sunday during Love Twin Cities. She is eviscerated by methamphetamine addiction and desperately needs Jesus Christ. Last night I texted Erika the #FallingPlates video via the Voke app [1 Choose a video. 2 Select a friend. 3 Get notified. Start chatting.] At 12:16am this morning, Voke alerted me 'Erika pressed play. It's time to chat. Use the Ϟ to send kickstarter questions for the video you sent!' Erika asked to attend Church with my family this Sunday. Please pray.
Eph 2:1-5 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! As I hurried to enter the Jail, a gentleman emblazoned with tattoos loitered outside. I heard 'a still small voice'. David had relapsed with methamphetamine but had been released. We called David's fiancé from my cellphone then I shared my personal testimony along with the 'Good Medicine'. Timothy [FKA Stan] arrived as we prayed. I invited David, Cassandra and their three children to attend Church with my family but also proposed Cross of Grace two minutes from their home. Inside the Jail, we explored The Calling of Matthew then read 'Right outside the walls of your local church [or Jail] are people who are seeking answers. There are those who need healing, who are lonely, and who may even be reviled by others in their community. You have good medicine to dispense – a Gospel Message that heals hearts and changes lives and reconciles sinners to a merciful Savior. [Tecarta DOTD 06/20/18] In Christ, Jason.
Mt 9:12-13 On hearing this, Jesus said, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
