Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! I encountered a homeless gentleman named Terry as we helped an elderly woman navigate her wheelchair onto the bus. The bus quickly departed but Terry tarried. John 4 [Jesus talks with a Samaritan woman] pierced my heart. 'My name is Jason and I am with a local ministry. What can I pray with you about?' We spoke Truth and Love then I invited my brother to Church this Sunday. BOOM! Terry shrieked. 'It has been so long. It has been so long that I prayed to be invited back.' We embraced then bid adieu until this Sunday. At the well, Jesus began a conversation about natural water that transitioned to living water — spiritual matters. 'Fan into flame the gift of God.'
Jn 4:7-10 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, 'Will you give me a drink?' [His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.] The Samaritan woman said to him, 'You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?' [For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.] Jesus answered her, 'If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.'
2 Tim 1:6-7; 9 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We examined Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's devout faith despite their 'fiery' circumstances [Dan 3]. We encountered Quran, JD [Christian/Native American Animistic beliefs] and 'Reich'. I shared my personal testimony then asked 'Reich, where are you in your walk with Jesus Christ?' He replied 'I don't follow Jesus Christ. I follow Adolph Hitler.' Pregnant pause. I prayed fervently to be led by the Holy Spirit. I heard 'As a white male, I don't pretend to know racism like you guys know racism. But my wife and [most] my children are not white. My family knows racism personally and I have felt their pain. What I don't understand is that you revere a man who would have killed you for the color of your skin.' [Reich is black.] BOOM! Each man was instantly sobered. The smirk fell from Reich's face. I shared the full Gospel Message then quoted [1 Sam 16:7]. Please pray that the 'scales' fall from Reich's eyes. In Christ, Jason.
1 Sam 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'
Ps 139:23-24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Mat 23:27-28 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Acts 9:18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again.
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
MOA Outreach
Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 9pm
Our outreach is based at the Mall of America. We meet at the Institute for Chiropractic Rehabilitation PA at 8200 Humboldt Ave S STE 204, Bloomington, MN 55431 prior to 6:30pm. After worship and prayer, we drive to the Mall of America east parking ramp. We share Jesus Christ in the mall, at the MOA Transit Center or on the light rail. Minneapolis Jail Outreach
Fridays from 6pm to 10pm
Our outreach is based at the Minneapolis Jail and on the light rail. We meet at Mall of America Transit Center PRIOR TO 6pm. We depart on the METRO Blue Line train at 6:03pm SHARP and share Jesus Christ on the train down to the Minneapolis Jail. We then encounter men within the jail, their loved ones downstairs or individuals downtown. At about 9:15pm, we share Christ on the train back to MOA. B-Rock Outreach
First Sunday every month from 11am to 1:30pm
Our outreach is based within the Bethel's Rock Church community. We meet at Bethel's Rock Church at 7601 Girard Ave S, Richfield, MN 55423 to attend the 9:45am service. At 11am we proceed downstairs to hold Evangelism Training before we share Jesus Christ with our neighbors. My prayer is to replicate the B-Rock Outreach to mobilize THE Church — the body of Christ.
