Dear Messengers:

Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome!  'Hello.  My name is Jason.  I am with a local Ministry and I would love to pray with you.'  Kyle appeared bewildered but ultimately responded 'Please pray for my friend's mental health.'  Kyle shared 'My friend 'Coolie' was just released from the psych ward.  We have lost so many friends to opiates that Coolie tried to OD on Xanax.'  Kyle previously attended Church with maternal grandparents with whom he lived during the summers.  But Kyle rejected institutional religion due to Roman Catholic dogma.  Me too.  I recounted numerous heroin-related funerals then discussed concrete steps to ensure Coolie's well-being.  I shared my personal testimony but perceived concrete walls erected to emotionally insulate.  I prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit then broached Truth and Love vicariously with Kyle as we discussed Fred [AKA Coolie].  Kyle wrestled with God but ultimately contemplated our Church trio this Sunday.  Please pray.

Heb 3:7-9 So, as the Holy Spirit says: 'Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness, where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did.'

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  While I communed with God at Glacier National Park, Stan led our gentlemen to encounter God in their Quads.  Stan shared 'Throughout the week, my thoughts kept coming back to wisdom, honor, and respect.  I realized that fathers don't always pass down knowledge and wisdom which begins with 'the fear of the Lord'.  My father didn't do a great job in that area and neither did I.  Thankfully, Proverbs is an enduring source for teaching that can be trusted.  I shared about my story related to my father and my children, and my realization that God has given us much to help us overcome our shortcomings.  Solomon's teaching in Proverbs can provide some of the Godly teaching that we may have missed growing up.  I challenged both groups [and myself] to spend time in Proverbs and allow themselves to accept the teaching in Proverbs as Fatherly instruction directly to them.  I was especially pleased that Adam was clearly led by the Spirit as he closed us in prayer.'  In Christ, Jason.

Prov 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.

Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
