Dear Messengers:
Babies matter [cute]
baby matter [gruesome]
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! We closed in prayer that God would nurture our seeds planted. A BGU student shared context about her imminent paternal detente in rural Alaska. Our collective Spirits were instantly grieved. We dropped to envelop our daughter in prayer and to provide godly counsel. I am purposely vague here but have shared the minutiae [with permission] with appropriate persons to ensure her safety. She invited our communal prayer – 'Pray that I have the opportunity to share the gospel with him and his wife. That I would be physically safe as well as mentally safe – he is good at manipulation and mind games. Pray that we would all be safe on our backpacking trip and travels.' She added 'Thank you for your prayers. Last night I couldn't sleep so I prayed as well. Eventually I fell asleep with peace which is probably when you started praying too.' Beloved, 'pray for each other so that you may be healed.'
Ps 5:11-12 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Jas 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We read 'But sometimes the 'monsters' from our past feel like they'll never stop pursuing us. We look in the 'mirror' of our lives and see mistakes looming right there, threatening to consume us with guilt or shame. Our redemption in Christ has freed us to live for Him. We don't have to let those 'objects in [our] mirror' dictate our direction as we continue forward.' [Excerpt from Tecarta Bible DOTD 06/01/19] I confronted two gentlemen who have tried to subvert our pursuit unto Jesus Christ. Both men consistently extol methamphetamine abuse that imperils our 'lost sheep' to stray. I shared rampant heroin-related eulogies – both men instantly sobered. Andrew shared friends lost; Adam conceded irreverence. I shared the full Gospel Message, emphasizing absolute repentance. 'We don't have to let those 'objects in [our] mirror' dictate our direction as we continue forward.' Please pray. In Christ, Jason.
1 Pet 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Gal 6:7-9 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
