Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! I was reunited with my friend Zach, a homeless, alcoholic atheist who feels unworthy to be loved. He was raised Catholic but rejected religion due to its hypocrisy. Me too. Zach wears dark sunglasses to mask the tears. As we spoke about addiction and Jesus Christ, Zach diverted our conversation to another addict named Bill 'who really has a problem'. I shared Truth and Love as tears rained down behind the Ray-Bans. Zach repeated 'I am so scared about Bill. He is killing himself.' I prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit then whispered 'Zach, you know that I love you. What about you?' The Holy Spirit reigned down upon us. Zach cried out 'I am so scared about me! I am killing myself!' 2 Sam 12:7 pierced my heart. We embraced but Zach takes refuge in self-imposed darkness. Please pray.
2 Sam 12:7 Then Nathan said to David, 'You are the man!'
Isa 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We read 'Others of us are bound by guilt. We keep beating ourselves up over some past failure. We're trapped, stuck fast in self-reproach and shame. We reason that no one else anywhere could be as bad as we are, that no one could love the real us or forgive us for the terrible things we've done. But we're wrong: For starters, God can.' [Excerpt from Tecarta Bible DOTD 09/19/18] Joseph appeared distraught despite surrender to Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior last week. He vomited out 'My mom said that I denied Jesus so He will deny me. Maybe Jesus won't forgive me.' The Parable of the Sower continues to pierce my heart. We tilled Truth and Love unto Joseph's trodden soil. 'Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.' [Jn 8:32] In Christ, Jason.
Mt 10:32-33 [NKJV] Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Mt 13:3-4; 19 A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
