Dear Messengers:
Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome! I encountered three millennials who declined prayer. Reed was adorned with her cultural jewelry to include a Native American earring. By their words, these youth equated Jesus Christ with institutional religion. I shared Truth and Love to contrast personal relationship with Jesus from dead ritual. I imparted my personal testimony then quoted Jer 29:11-13 but alas their hearts remained hardened. We bid adieu as the trio boarded the train. I walked away but noticed a Native American earring upon the ground then rushed back to halt the train. 'Reed, this earring declares that Jesus Christ is pursuing you.' Stunned, she felt her naked earlobe then blurted out her cellphone number. 'For I know the plans I have for you.' Please pray.
Jer 29:11-13 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome! We encountered a Somali Muslim gentleman named Khadar familiar with both the Qur'an and Bible. Khadar thrice repeated 'I was a bad man but am now good. I like Christianity; it is a good religion.' I shared the full Gospel Message specific to Islamic ideology then we dissected distinctions thereof. Both Stan and I accentuated 'grace through faith not by works'. 'In Islam, the Muslim's works will be weighed on the Day of Judgment and it will then be decided who is saved and who is not – based upon whether the person was a Muslim, whether or not they were sincere in repentance and whether or not they performed enough good works to outweigh the bad ones.' [CARM – Does Islam teach salvation by works?] Khadar asked me to define Christ. He had bowed down to Allah perhaps thirty thousand times. But not tonight. Our brother bowed down instead to declare Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Amen! In Christ, Jason.
Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
Surah 23:102-103 [Qur'an] 'Then those whose balance [of good deeds] is heavy, they will be successful. But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls; in hell will they abide.'
Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.
Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
