Dear Messengers:

Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome!  'So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself – nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.'  [Franklin D. Roosevelt's Inaugural Address on 03/04/33]  My friend Barry from Bible Study Fellowship accompanied us at MOA despite the abject terror.  I explicitly remember my fear three years ago during my inaugural outreach with Street Level Ministry.  I paired Barry with an experienced Messenger named Dave to help shepherd our brother to calm any fear.  Barry returned euphoric – burgeoning with the Holy Spirit.  Beloved, so can you.  'Follow Me.'

Barry shared ' The Bible mentions the word fear three times more often than the word love.  Last night at MOA I got a taste of the reason 'Do not be afraid' is so important in our walk as believers in Jesus Christ.  I noticed that the closer we got to the Mall, the harder it was for me to focus on Dave or anything other than this overwhelming sense of 'What have I gotten myself into!'  Fear was rapidly taking over my mind.  As we walked into the Mall, Dave shared a secret with me.  People want to hear the Good News and fear does not come from God.  We approached groups of people including four Somali Muslim youth and eight young men on their High School senior trip and in both cases I was amazed at the power of the Word of God to captivate an audience that I would have been afraid to speak to.  Both groups walked away from the encounter with pamphlets about Jesus in their hands and a challenge to ask God to show them that Jesus is 'the way and the truth and the life.'  I believe that every one of them had their lives changed by that 20 to 30 minute conversation.  The Word of God is power.  'Do not be afraid' to share it.'

Mt 4:19 [NKJV] 'Then He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.'

Lk 12:4-5 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.  But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell.  Yes, I tell you, fear him.

Eph 6:19-20 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  As the gentlemen emerged, my Spirit was instantly grieved.  We began to dissect Forgiveness then read 'But the real purpose of our masks is to safeguard our hurts, hang-ups and habits so that people can't get to know the real us.'  [Excerpt from Celebrate Recovery Bible]  But I felt compelled to interrupt our conversation.  I shared the full Gospel Message, emphasizing that Jesus Christ defeated Satan upon the cross, then prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit.  I moved toe-to-toe with Jermaine then stared intently past the mask worn.  Our eyes are 'the windows to our soul' but I discerned only darkness.  Jermaine stated 'I know about God' but my Spirit felt angst to where my breathing became labored.  Jermaine vomited out clearly demonic, occult ideology that we defeated with the Word of God.  I handed Jermaine the Father's Love Letter then we 'Put on the full armor of God' to pray.  In Christ, Jason.

Jas 2:19 You believe that there is one God.  Good!  Even the demons believe that – and shudder.

Eph 6:11-13 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.

Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
