Dear Messengers:

Last week at MOA was awesome!  Upon arrival, I prayed to be led by the Holy Spirit.  I opened my eyes to find Halie, the young, homeless heroin addict I reunited with recently.  Halie cancelled our Church plans last Sunday to attend her friend's funeral.  Another child destroyed by heroin.  'The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.'  We spoke about redemption and about life 'more abundantly'.  As we prayed, we encountered two gentlemen with the Teen Challenge Leadership Institute [TCLI] who just founded Midwest Street Ministry to share Jesus Christ.  I warned them about the MOA security guards then encouraged them to begin Messenger Boot Camp this Saturday March 24th at Bethel University.  The Bread of Life was founded to provide artisan breads to missionaries to help them reach the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor to share Jesus Christ.  I hope to provide bread to support their outreaches.  As we prayed outside with 'conversational' body language and eyes open, we encountered Wayne, a former homeless drug addict who found Jesus Christ in prison.  Wayne just received fifty dollars; he tithed five to Halie.  BOOM!  The Holy Spirit convicted my heart!  As I left MOA later that evening, I was confronted by MOA security guards who 'commanded [me] not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.'  Please pray.

Jn 10:10 [NKJV] The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Acts 4:17-20 'But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.'  Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.  But Peter and John replied, 'Which is right in God's eyes: to listen to you, or to him?  You be the judges!  As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.'

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  As we waited to enter the jail, Stan rambled on about proprietary noisy signal suppression ad nauseam.  The recurrent phrase 'noisy signal' perked my Spirit.  'In communication systems, noise is an error or undesired random disturbance of a useful information signal.  The noise is a summation of unwanted or disturbing energy from natural and sometimes man-made sources.'  [Wikipedia]  We devoured Psalm 25 then sought to discern God's 'still small voice'.  We confronted the 'noisy signals' in our lives – 'Both the clashing cymbals of our failures and the loud trumpeting of our successes can drown out God's still small voice.  It's time for us to quiet our hearts to listen for Him as we meditate on His Word.  To tune in to God's voice we must tune out this world's noise.'  [Excerpt from Our Daily Bread 05/05/09]  Beloved, God speaks to us all.  We choose whether to listen and obey.  In Christ, Jason.

1 Ki 19:11-12 [NKJV] Then He said, 'Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.'  And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

1 Jn 4:1-3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.  This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.  This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Our children are dying.  I need your help to share Christ with the lost.

Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
