Dear Messengers:

Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome!  I have known an elderly homeless woman named Ida several years.  She has shared painful memories fraught with generational dysfunction, drug addiction and abandonment.  Despite her fractured family, Ida declared 'Every day is Thanksgiving because I have Jesus Christ.'  This morning I read 'Every day is Thanksgiving for a Christian – at least, it should be.  We certainly have more than enough to be thankful for.  We don't need to look far for God's blessings in our lives.  They're all around us: a place to live, a loving family or someone to care for us, supportive friends, food to eat, clothes to wear, assorted talents and abilities, the security of knowing we'll go to heaven when we die – just to name a few.'  [Excerpt from Tecarta Bible DOTD 11/22/18]  I wept as Ida's words pierced my heart.  She has almost none of these blessings – no home; no loving family; no food; etc.  But Ida has Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.  Dear Heavenly Father, I am too frequently oblivious to your abundant, daily blessings.  Thank you for Jesus Christ!  Ida held my hand then shared 'Jason, you are the only person who ever texts me.'  And thank you for my friend!

Ps 69:29-30 But as for me, afflicted and in pain – may your salvation, God, protect me.  I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.

Ps 100 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  Timothy recounted the path that led back to jail.  That path was a slippery slope.  We explored our descent unto sin – Dante's Inferno pierced my heart.  Timothy's one beer led to two; to three; to four.  Our second look; to lust; et al.  'But what we feed grows.'  [Heather Biffert 05/14/17]  Led by the Holy Spirit, we shared Truth and agape Love with absolute candor.  Beloved, whatever the question, Jesus Christ is our answer.  In Christ, Jason.

Dt 32:35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay.  In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.

Jer 23:12 Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness and there they will fall.

Ps 37:30-31 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.  The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.

Our children are dying. I need your help to share Christ with the lost.

Dt 24:16 Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.
