Dear Messengers:

Last Wednesday at MOA was awesome!  Kirsi 'with the Mercy' and I sharpened our Armor of God before we laid siege 'against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.'  I descended upon the MOA Transit Center to behold a young woman literally aglow.  'Hello.  My name is Jason.  I am with a local Ministry and I would love to pray with you.'  Jordan convulsed in tears for several minutes before able to respond.  Her three young daughters approached to console their mommy but were similarly distraught.  Jordan sought refuge with family in Atlanta upon eviction but travel plans evaporated.  I called the Hennepin Co Family Shelter Team [612-348-6777] then drove them to People Serving People to find respite.  Jordan shared 'I prayed on that bench that God would send a Messenger to rescue us.'  [Verbatim]  She just texted 'Thank you so much for the prayers, the talk, the help and the ride to a shelter.  Me and the kids are doing ok and we are on the bus to Atlanta.  They [HC Family Shelter Team] did help us with tickets to get there.  I appreciate everything thank you so much.'

Eph 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Last Friday at the Minneapolis Jail was awesome!  We read 'Take some time today to imagine your life as a garden.  What does it look like?  What plants does it contain?  Have you kept up with the weeding?  What needs thinning, pruning, or plucking out?  Assuming you can do the necessary work to trim whatever needs trimming, is there anything new you would like to plant in your garden?'  [Excerpt from Tecarta DOTD 07/19/19]  Our horticultural metaphor unearthed Mt 12:43-45.  We employed the Ignatian Method 'to engage our imaginations by placing ourselves in the stories of Scripture in an attempt to better empathize with the people of the Bible and understand the stories in a more experiential way.'  Beloved, we must cultivate our relationship with Christ Jesus to eradicate our weeds or defiling mold [sin].  In Christ, Jason.

Mt 12:43-45 When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.  Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.'  When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.  Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there.  And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.  That is how it will be with this wicked generation.

Lev 14:48 But if the priest comes to examine it and the mold has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean, because the defiling mold is gone.
